> Is now the time to do Abraham out with it seeming such an easy switch to inform Jimenez , or keep faith with the Chelsea striker ? ( was stretchered off as i was writing these questions )

If Abraham is passed fit for GW 15 then the sensible move is to keep. Three very nice home games in the next 4 against West Ham, Aston Villa (his old club) and Bournemouth. However for those looking to take a risk and go against a player with 50%+ ownership then Jimenez is a safe bet. I’d put forward Danny Ings as well… Watford and Norwich at home in the next two.

If you have value tied up in Abraham then just keep and bench. He will only be out for a max of one GW. The injury is probably nothing more serious than a heavy bruise. Stronger players would grit their teeth and play through it but Tammy is extremely lightweight in many aspects in my personal opinion; minerals being one of them…

That said, Raul is an excellent option and in the form of his life.

Depending on the Abraham injury news, it’s probably worth keeping the Chelsea forward and pairing him with Jiménez & Vardy. If Tammy is injured then Rashford is a serious option (or Kane if you have the funds) Abraham only has one goal at home since GW4.
I’ve just shipped Abraham, we have 3 gameweeks in the next week so he could potentially miss 2 games. Given his instagram post of I’ll be back soon I’d expect he at least misses one game. I’ve moved him on for Jesus with Aguero out.

> As crazy as it sounds some people are advocating going cityless is this something you agree with?

I think one City player is advisable for the next three GWs with Newcastle, Burnley and Arsenal on the fixture list. De Bruyne is Mr Consistent, returning in 8 of his 12 appearances this season. That shouldn’t be taken for granted in a very unpredictable FPL season. Sterling owners have a tricky decision, I’d look to Mane for the next 4 GWs before perhaps moving back to the Englishman in the BGW. Defensively I wouldn’t go near them. There are much cheaper options returning points like Lundstram and Soyuncu for example.

Who is advocating this? Because they need their heads read. City are going through a dip in their own very high standards for sure. But to dump ALL their assets? Madness. KDB is the best creative player in the Premier League bar none. Sterling will absolutely clear out his stuttering pistons and can easily retrieve the form that we know he is capable of. The only City assets I would recommend ditching are probably their defenders

City’s fixtures aren’t great, 2 away games followed by Man United, Arsenal, Leicester & Wolves so I can understand the lack of love for the Champions. KDB is enough for me. Forget the defence they’re a shambles and Ederson is far too expensive.
Absolutely not

>Jose has won his first two games in charge so obviously spurs are now going to win the world cup , which spurs asset interests you the most?

Early days yet but Jose looks like he’s got his mojo back! Defensively I’d avoid for now. They’ve shipped 4 goals in 2 games and play Chelsea, Utd and Wolves in the next 5. Aurier is one to watch at £4.9 though for his attacking threat. The attack is where the points are, it looks a great opportunity to get one or two in and get ahead of the masses. Son is the obvious one, Alli & Moura both offer value. I’ve earmarked Kane from GW19 onwards, a reliable captain pick over Christmas.

Kane, Son, Alli, Moura. In that order. All are playing to impress the new gaffer and all will improve week on week until at least two of those reach must-own status. The trick will be in judging when the optimum time to jump on them is.Go too early and you could be rewarded with inconsistency. Go too late and you’ll either be points chasing or prices out of the market.

Spurs have a decent run of fixtures. Harry Kane is the standout pick but Son & Alli are viable options in midfield. I have a feeling Lucas Moura will be loved by Jose now that he’s playing in his natural position on the right. One to keep an eye on is Danny Rose who should be nailed at left back after the Ben Davies injury news (ankle ligaments)
Kane interests me most if he finally plays up front. But Alli could be the big winner if we get old school Dele back I’m all in on that

> In a very tricky looking game week to pick a captain who do you think should get the nod?

Captaincy this week really is anyone’s guess. My top two candidates would be Mane (BRI) and Vardy (EVE), normally I’d just favour the midfielder due to the extra points available for a goal and clean sheet but how can you ignore Vardy and the form he’s in?! Kane & Son are differential options with big explosive potential. I haven’t even mentioned Sterling or De Bruyne…

Mane and Vardy based on form alone. Kane or Son if you believe in the “Jose Effect”. But for me, once again Sterling will be a strong contender despite his recent failures.

Pretty sure I’ll be captaining Vardy this week. Everton are a mess and it’d be great to pick up a captain hat-trick in the last game of the GW. Mané runs him a close 2nd.
I’m going for Jesus, but a liverpool player vs Brighton could be just as good

> Zaha costs £6.6M and is only 7.7% owned. After some impressive performances capped with a goal against Liverpool , is he a differential we should be considering with palaces nice looking fixture run?

Zaha is a very interesting differential, he’s certainly got the fixtures to find his best form. Another plus point is his reliability of starts, in all likelihood he won’t miss a game over Christmas. However only one goal all season shows his mind maybe on other things. Couple that with a trip to Burnley (3 clean sheets in last 4 home games) and I would probably say no, not this week. Lucas Moura at £7.0 is much more tempting.
No. I’d favour Milivojevic on his 100th appearance grabbing a pen before I’d punt on the lacklustre Zaha who has cut a few million off his real life transfer value based on this seasons performances.
Zaha – yes. Palace are shit but he’s class. If his end product was better he’d be owned by 40%+
He is someone to look at bringing in if he can find form. Classed as a midfielder now so extra points available for goals. He is firmly on the watch list I just have other issues currently

>At now only 23% ownership has Mohamed Salah entered essential differential status?

Very hard to argue Salah over Mane right now and with good reason. The latter is in better form and isn’t carrying an injury. The long term form book backs this up; Mane has 22 goals in 2019, Salah only 15. I wouldn’t be making the swap but I’m not against doubling up. It doesn’t get much better than Brighton, Watford, Everton & Bournemouth in the next 4 GWs no doubt they will both get in the points! One caveat is their GW18 blank… my advice would be to plan ahead to assess whether you can afford to bench them both

Not at that price. His glass ankle would worry me as an owner. He is nowhere near being the influence he has been in the last couple of seasons.

No doubt he will score 2 or 3 and make me look more of a dick than usual though.

Salah is a tricky one. I’ve only recently swapped to Mané and I won’t be going back. Mo looks injured to me but with decent fixtures ahead he could explode into life. Much better options right now IMO
Yeah he is entering that phase he ownership in the top 10k is really low too. If he finds form a differential Salah could be a great weapon

> If you were free hitting this week which 3 names would be the first on your team sheet based on fixtures and form?

If I was free hitting the first name on my team-sheet would be Jesus. We know that he will play and has a great record when he starts in the Premier League. Man City’s starting striker at under 2% owned is surely to tempting to turn down? Marcus Rashford would be in my free hit team. He’s been quietly going about his business in recent week returning 36 points in the last 5 GWs. Martial being back in the has team enhanced his appeal. No away clean sheet for Villa all season, goal are in the offing! Finally, I would be tempted to take a gamble on Reece James. The teenager seems to have forced his way into Lampard’s best team and whilst it’s not a given he’ll start it would be a risk I’d take. His amazing crossing ability mean a first assist isn’t far away and Chelsea have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 3 home games.

Kane, Jiménez and Alli.

The first two based on their explosive potential. Alli because he would be a mega-differential and I’m chasing from an overall rank of 1.5m…

For a free hit i’d be choosing Aurier, Pulisic & Kane. I think Spurs will do a madness against Bournemouth and West Ham are shocking so expect the American to have a field day against the hammers.
Jesus, Kane, Alli

>If you had a free transfer available this week which low ownership differential ( -5% ) would you look to bring in?

A few candidates for this… Ings, Jesus and Moura came close. However at 3.2% ownership and with Sheffield United, West Ham, Brighton and Norwich in the next 5 GWs I’d go with FPL legend Matt Doherty. I think he can get back to his explosive best in the next few weeks!
Again, Dele Alli. He looks to be a different beast as he tries to impress Jose. It’s worked so far with two outstanding performances. At 1.5% TSB he’d be first on my team sheet of hunting a differential.
Adama Traore is a great option for anyone looking for a differential. He looks to have finally found a position since Wolves switched to 3-4-3 not so long ago.
Jesus, differential city striker against a shaky Newcastle team obviously not gonna blank..

> Sir John Lundstram has more points this season then many premium assets , should the 56% who don’t own him be doing anything to recruit ,even with his now inflated £5m price tag?

Definitely, he’s still one of the best defensive options in the game. You only have to watch the first 20 minutes of the Man United game to see that – he could have had a brace! They are so well defensively organised, it’s hard not to see clean sheets over their upcoming ‘see of green’ fixture run. It’s one of the greatest FPL stories ever, jump on and be a part of it!
As an OOP player regularly returning points he’s worth another £1.5m on top of that £5m. Stubbornness is the only reason his ownership (in live teams) is not 100% Stupid.
Lundstram is a set and forget for me. Even at £5m, a defender playing in midfield he’s worth every penny and more.
Yeah because he is playing out of position. You wont find better value for his price in defence or midfield

> With Aguero confirmed as out injured over the festive period is 1.8% owned jesus an attractive proposition?

Yes. Jesus looks very attractive! As previously mentioned Man City’s seemingly nailed on striker for only £9.5 and at mega differential ownership level is a tantalising prospect. If you haven’t got Vardy I’d prioritise him with 3 home games in the next 4 however a forward line of them both promises goals in the next few GWs! One word of wanting… Pep can throw surprises at FPL managers. I wouldn’t be surprised if he played Sterling up front at some point.
Yeah I guess. But I think I’d want three consistent, proven points returners in my forward spots. Jesus is too flaky for my liking.
Jesus would be a great option if there wasn’t so many other forwards now coming into form. Vardy, Jiménez, Kane & Rashford are all better options at the minute. May be worth a gamble if you’re behind in a mini league though.
Jesus to be the christmas saviour
